We are committed to teaching first aid and CPR in a safe and fun environment. We offer open classes monthly in Truro and surrounding areas plus we will cater to groups, by traveling and teaching privately in your environment or location of employment. Classes are interactive, fun and based on hands-on experiential learning.
In partnership with Adventure & Safety Atlantic, http://adventureandsafety.ca, we offer swift water equipment sales and training.
Darcy has spent over 26 years in the Canadian Armed Forces and 19 of those years as a Search and Rescue Technician (SAR Tech) with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He is a Primary Care Paramedic, has parachuted from an airplane into the wilderness and hoisted from a helicopter and provided assistance to people in some of the most remote and hostile environments within Canada. As a SAR Tech, Darcy has instructed at the Canadian Forces School of Survival and Aeromedical Training and the Canadian Forces School of Search and Rescue. Outside of the military Darcy has held a Primary Care Paramedic license in Newfoundland and is a Volunteer Firefighter and Medical First Responder within his community.
Our class curriculum conforms to current Canadian Red Cross guidelines. We guarantee you will leave our class with the skills necessary to effectively administer first aid and CPR to infants, children, and adults.

First Aid courses designed for those who work or play in a Marine Environment.
Comprehensive two-day course designed to meet the needs of those expected to provide first aid in a marine environment. Course uses a combination of lecture, discussion, and scenarios taken from the marine/fishing industry to teach the required knowledge and skills. Designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to apply immediate first aid in the event of accident or illness on board a vessel. Participants will gain knowledge of marine first aid equipment, and the transferring of patients from a ship. All aspects of course are focused in a marine setting. Preparing youth to take on responsibility, by providing them with the skills and knowledge to keep kids safe, happy and healthy while in their care.
Offers basic first aid and caregiving skills for youth 11-15 years old. Participants learn how to provide care to children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies.
